Part A


Medicare Part A helps cover the costs of hospital care. It covers some services before, during, and after a stay at the hospital. Here’s a quick overview of what it covers:

• Hospital care – Covers inpatient hospital stays and some related services such as nursing care and lab tests

• Lab tests and x-rays

• Ambulance services

Medicare Part B has a monthly premium.

Part C

Medicare Advantage

Medicare Part C, also known as Medicare Advantage, is an alternative to Original Medicare (Parts A and B) that provides coverage for hospital and medical services.

Medicare Advantage plans are offered by private insurance companies and typically include additional benefits such as prescription drugs, vision care, hearing aids, and dental coverage.

• You can choose from a variety of plans that may cover more than Original Medicare or offer different out-of-pocket costs.

• The monthly premiums for these plans vary depending on the type of plan chosen. Some are $0 monthly premium.

• When you enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan, you still pay your Part B premium to Medicare.

Part D

Prescription Drug Coverage

Medicare Part D is a prescription drug benefit that helps cover the cost of certain medications for those enrolled in Medicare. Here's what you need to know about it:

• It helps lower out-of-pocket costs for prescription drugs through a wide network of participating pharmacies.

• You can enroll in a specific plan depending on your needs and budget.
